Most often, one person can independently operate the rack system.

The pivot lever pulls out each arm separately. The gait of the arm is controlled and limited by the length of the arm. The crank and shaft turning ratio is 2.36: 1. Under a full load of 5 000 kg the need is an initial force of 15 kg, after which the handles are turned without much effort.

Each system unit consists of at least two basic structures; longitudinal links and a control tower for each side of the column. Depending on the length of the storage material the rack system can have several columns at certain intervals. Storage on high shelves is also possible with the help of platform ladders and cranes.

Waste longitudinal material can be stored using load-bearing pallets or column spacers placed as needed.
